[It has been already a month, hasn't it? Goku isn't really sure, he remembers that a month is supposed to have around thirty days and though he hasn't been counting he has the impression that such a length of time has passed. At first he hadn't minded it too much, even if he had asked Hakkai to promise to leave a note next time he left before the kid woke up Goku was aware that there were times in which it wasn't possible. And seeing that there was nothing left that belonged to Hakkai in the apartment the kid had assumed it had been one of those times rather than Hakkai merely leaving on his own.
So he had waited. He had kept going to play around the village and helping Ukyo at the okonomiyaki restaurant. He ate at the restaurants before returning to the apartment to wait for Hakkai. And he kept waiting. Eventually the days turned into weeks and he got tired of waiting. He wanted his friend back already, it was lonely without him, the apartment was big and cold and the drawings hanging on the walls didn't make him smile proudly anymore, happy that the older man appreciated his work, instead they made him want to cry and hurt inside. It wasn't the first time that being alone hurt, but the pain this time felt worse. Why wasn't Hakkai coming back? Had he done something bad? Had he got the other man angry? Had he been a burden? An annoyance?
Sitting and crying wouldn't help, so he had grabbed a bag, left a note at Ukyo's restaurant and gone to search for Hakkai. Everyone said they were trapped inside that barrier, they only went outside during those draft-things, so, of course, wherever Hakkai was it had to be somewhere inside, he just had to search for the man. He knew Hakkai's scent so he could track him, he was sure of it. Wherever Hakkai was hiding or trapped, he would find him and bring him back home with him, even if Hakkai was angry with him, it wasn't a reason to hide from everyone else too.
More weeks passed and Goku is finally back at the village. Alone. Hakkai was nowhere to be found. He isn't in Luceti. How had he left? Why? Had he gone back to search for Kenren and Konzen and bring them to Luceti? The two men were taking a really long time to get there after all... But why hadn't he left a note. Why leave without a word? And what if he hadn't found them? What if the army had got them instead and hurt them as Nataku got hurt? Goku has no idea, he can't understand and he is tired, exhausted and hungry.]
[There's a kid walking slowly around the streets, he wobbles and trips at times, but he keeps moving. His appearance is a real mess, he's dirty, full of mud and looking very much as if he had been out and without an umbrella during yesterday's rainfall. He isn't paying much attention to where he's going, or what or who he bumps into, mumbling a soft sorry before he continues his way.
It feels strange inside. It has stopped hurting as the days went by with him unable to find Hakkai, but he doesn't feel well either. It feels as when he's hungry, but he isn't sure how to fill that gap. Sure, he is also hungry now, if the growling stomach is any indication -no, people of Luceti, that's not a lion trotting around the village and roaring, it's just a hungry monkey-, but he knows it's not only that. He feels hungry in the chest too, where it hurt before.
He probably end at Seventh Heaven, he should go with Ukyo but he's worried about seeing her now looking like this. She probably won't like it, maybe she's angry that he left to begin with. So he just sits there, dirty and hungry, waiting for someone to ask him what he wants to eat before he starts munching the table.
Eventually he will open the journal and ask a question he didn't want to ask.]
How long does it take for someone who leaves Luceti to return here? Anyone knows?

[Voice/Locked]
It's called Sheik's mun is not as smart as Sheik]I will see you soon. [And write a note to Link. And try not to look as terrible as he feels.]
[Action?]
[Action!]
[The front door is unlocked so Goku can come right in. Sheik's sitting in his chair, blanket spread over his lap.]
[Action!]
[The kid will make himself at home then and make a beeline to where Sheik is.]
Were you sleeping, Sheik-nii?
[Pointing at the blanket.]
[Action!]
[But that's enough of that. It's time for a subject change, before he ends up worrying the kid too much.] Link will be here shortly.
[Action!]
[And... straight through the door. One day he'll learn to knock.]
Hi, Sheik. [The boy gets a welcoming smile - despite the sword on his back, he looks pretty non-threatening today.] Hi. I'm Link.
[Action!]
[Walking in circles around Sheik and his chair, he doesn't notice anything "off" per say so he's not worried. Yet. But he will even tug at the blanket a bit to make sure that it's covering Sheik's lap well and all.
Link's arrival earns a curious stare from Goku, at least until he introduces himself. He'll get a monkey jumping in front of him after he does.]
You're Sheik's friend, right? I'm Goku, nice to meet you! Are you a soldier?
[Pointing at the sword he can see on his back.]
[Action!]
He is a hero, Goku. I told you over the journals earlier, remember? It is not quite the same as a soldier.
[Sheik gestures for Link to sit. He's welcome to pull the sheets on the couch up - they should probably be changed anyway.
[Action!]
[Sheik gets a curious glance and a mouthed, 'How are you?' as he unbuckles the sword belt and props the scabbard up against the side of the couch.]
[Action!]
[Or so he was told. He'll climb to the couch to sit next to Link as soon as the man sits down himself.]
Hyrule is where you lived before?
[Action!]
A soldier is someone who fights for their side, and does what he is told. They value laws and rules above all else much of the time. A hero simply does what he believes is right, no matter the cost, and even if it breaks the rules sometimes. [It's the simplest explanation he can come up with.]
[Action!]
[The description gets a pulled face, although he still sounds amused.] You make me sound like a criminal. [He turns back to Goku, nodding - it's close enough, really.] Right - me and Sheik both come from Hyrule. Where are you from?
[Action!]
Soldiers in Hyrule are different than Ken-niichan and Ten-chan. They often got in trouble too and got in big trouble because they wanted to help me even when the rest of the army went after them. Because they promised to be with me and protect me and Konzen. And another time when we were in front of some important old guy they got into a fight because I started it, they fought with me even if everyone else said it wasn't right and it was against rules or whatever. Then Ken-niichan and Ten-chan would be heroes in Hyrule rather than soldiers?
[Here's Goku, thinking Hyrule must have an army of heroes or something.]
I was in Heavens before I came here. But before that I was in a small village that I found when I climbed down Mount Kaka in the world below.
[In short, he has no idea how to really answer that question. "From the top of a mountain" doesn't seem the answer people want.]
[Action!]
[Action!]
[The word 'Heavens' catches his attention - isn't that where the Goddesses went after they created Hyrule? Maybe it means something different where he's from, then.] I'm from a little village too. It's in the forest, though, not near the mountain.
[Action!]
Really? How was it? Was the people there nice? The people at the village in Mount Kaka were very kind and nice with me, they gave me clothes and food!
[Looking at Sheik.]
Are you from a village like Link-nii?
[Action!]
[And this, Link, is the load of crap Sheik feeds just about everyone about his origins.]
[Action!]
[Action!]
It does! But Death Mountain doesn't sound like a nice place, was the village safe despite being so close to it?
[Action!]
[Action!]
[He had camped up there a couple of times, actually. Watching the sun setting over the expanse of Hyrule had been nice.]
[Action!]
[The kid is obviously interested in learning more, he likes to learn about other worlds and such.]
Why give Death Mountain such a scary name if it's a good place?
[Action!]
[Action!]
[He pauses thoughtfully, then adds with a slight sheepish grin,] I guess some of the Gorons are scary when they try to give you hugs.
[He ran screaming. Shh.]
