010th Meatbun ☼ Action / Voice

[This past week, anyone trying to go to the okonomiyaki restaurant would find it closed, courtesy of the Malnosso kidnapping the owner and cook. However, that has changed today, today the restaurant is wide open, with a menu sheet on the door for everyone to see, it's the same menu as always though a lot of dishes seem to have been stroke out.

Inside there's one little monkey that goes for the name of Goku, doing his best to imitate all the things Ukyo does when she opens the restaurant, like cleaning and tidying up. He'll be more than ready to take food orders and will welcome everyone with a wide smile and a loud 'WELCOME TO UCCHAN'S OKONOMIYAKI RESTAURANT!'. Anyone feels daring enough to try this kid's food? Don't worry it's not poisonous, he can cook, but don't expect anything too complicated.]

[Later, in the afternoon, the journals will be greeted with a curious kid.]

Ne... Is Ucchan back yet?

[Rhetoric question, kind of, if she's back she will answer if not... Well, he won't get an answer, obviously. After a while more will be added to the feed.]

Does anyone know where can I get a home tutor? They are like teachers, right? Teach you things on your own, I don't wanna go to school but I wanna learn more things. Ginia-neesan is always writing but I'm still no good at understanding what she writes, I want to get better! Also I want to learn to write better to write to her too, she has a pretty handwriting! Ange-neesan too. And, and I want to write a letter to my friends. But if I do it now I'm sure Konzen will get angry because it's messy. I want to learn more than that too, so they will be impressed when they come here! So... Where can I get one of those home tutors? Please?

Ah! Also, how do you know if your flowers are thirsty? My Cosmos flowers are still babies inside their seeds so I can't look at them to know if they are thirsty or not.... I don't think I could know just by looking at them anyway, but the dirt in the pot seems dry. But I don't want to drown them! When I'm not thirsty I know I can't drink even another drop of water!

Oh, Ucchan's okonomiyaki restaurant is open again. I can take care of it while Ucchan is gone, I can't cook much but I'll do my best to make you delicious okonomiyaki!!

I have! But I'm worried to give it too much water or too little so I didn't know when to water them again.

[Anyway he'll go and try what she has just said... And returns a bit later, plants watered, he considered the soil was a b it dry.]

You can use magic with flowers?

[There's a sigh followed by a bit of laughter at the question.]

But of course you can. Are you aware of the seeds which grew a beanstalk high above the clouds, of the maiden trapped beneath a bed a of vines to be awoken by true love's kiss? Plants, and by extension flowers, can all be rather magical. [Leaving out the part where she uses flowers and magic, doo dee doo details.]

No, I didn't know there were plants like that, are there many of them where you're from?

Such a deprived child. But yes, there are many different flowers where I used to reside. The Garden of the Sun was a very beautiful place which I hope to return to someday.

Alas, for now I shall have to make do with my gardens here~

Well it seems you have some good taste. It was incredibly beautiful, and many youkai and human alike must have agreed with me in order to trespass every now and then.

[Her voice almost takes on a sort of wistful tone.] It was amongst the largest of gardens in Gensokyo and was flourishing with many varieties of flowers and blooms. Sunflowers especially, though all strains were welcome amongst my plots~

My gardens here are but a shadow of what they once were. Some imbecile decided to little my beds with holes. What's more, someone tried to crush my gardens with evil intent. [Smirk.] So I smashed them~

They must have wanted to see it up close, I would like it too.

[Nodding a bit, what's trespassing again? He doesn't know but he has heard the word before so he doesn't ask. Maybe it's something about being where one shouldn't or whatever. He listens to the description of the garden in awe, trying to picture it in his mind. Until she says the last part.]

Eh? Why did they do that?! Such bastards wanting to harm plants and flowers, I hope you smashed them really well! I would have kicked them forever if they tried that with my flowers!

[And he's serious. And there's nothing wrong in smashing people if they wrong you... Or something you care about.]

Perhaps they did~ Regardless of their intent it was trespassing all the same however.

[Though she won't acknowledge his own request to see her garden. If he does he can look from a safe distance, otherwise he might get a few danmaku thrown his way.]

Who honestly knows? It can be a pain working out the intent of humans at times. [What he says net catches her off guard for a moment. How unexpected.] ...Hmm, yes. I had to make do with breaking the whelp's arm, though that seemed to get my message across.

They didn't even ask for permission?

[He doesn't think he can get to see it anyway, that garden is where this girl is from and Goku has no intention of leaving Luceti to go anywhere. Anyway the kid actually laughs a bit at the part of breaking the whelp's arm, it's not a "oh so funny" laugh but more of a "good job" one.]

I'm sure it did! Serves him right for trying to hurt someone else's garden, if they want to destroy something they should destroy their own gardens or homes... But I bet they don't have those, bad people never have something they care for except themselves, right?

Correct. Awful, is it not~?

[Again, more unexpected responses. Seems she had pegged him as a complete idiot a little too soon. Still has the qualities of one, but definitely an idiot to consider keeping around.]

Her, actually, but there is no reason why gender should otherwise justify the end all of the event. The consequences should transcend sex after all~ [Smirk.] Too true, too true~ The poor girl probably has little else to care for but her own well being. Such a shame, to waste such a pathetic life. [See, this is why she cares for flowers. Can't be pinned as a bad person for caring for something other than herself!]

It is! I know some people back at Heavens said I was trespassing too, but I had permission! Konzen gave it to me and the old hag too, it's not my fault if those guys weren't told I could be there.

[Maaaaybe he didn't have permission to be at all the places he was, but several times he was and still got chased around. So unfair.]

[He sounds surprised and for a moment, a very brief moment seems to hesitate. He hasn't known girls who were bad or evil... But he supposes there's really no difference to it, right?]

She still did bad anyway! I hope she has learned her lesson though, besides being a bastard she's giving a bad name to other girls!

[He hums a bit.]

It's a bit sad, that she has nothing else to care about, must be lonely. But being lonely doesn't justify being a cruel bastard! Same as not knowing someone doesn't justify you talking bad about them. If it had been me I would have also punched her to get that into her head.

[Nodding with confidence.]

It really is beyond cruel, to hurt things that can't defend themselves like flowers are. Bet she wouldn't like it if it was her the one being defenseless, unable to talk or move from one spot. Ah, maybe forcing her to do that would have worked too to teach her a lesson?

[Let's not point out that that may be even more cruel than punching and breaking an arm, Goku thinks it's actually better at the moment.]

I see, I see~ [Not really caring for your little story about your own trespassing escapades, but she'll pretend she cares at any rate.]

Indeed, it was. An awfully naughty little girl who ran away home, committed a terrible wrong and as such paid the price~ Inflicting a blow upon her might have been a path to consider, though I settled for agitating her already broken joint.

[Her voice takes on a sort of amused tone. Looking back on it... No, she hadn't seen this conversation taking this sort of twist at all. But it's a pleasant twist, that's for sure.]

Perhaps I should have broken both of her legs instead so to render her immobile~ But then it would be such a bother to weed her away from my soils. I doubt she would even produce a suitable quality compost for my blooms. Regardless, it is in the past. Whether she learnt something or not it does not matter, the lesson was still quite enjoyable either way~

[Had she known she could have had these sorts of conversations with Goku sooner then she would have mentioned this sort of thing sooner!]

Ran away home? Why would anyone run away from home? Unless they did something bad there too, then she definitively deserved punishment.

[Nodding to himself. He and the others were running away from Heavens but that place wasn't "home" to begin with so it's different.]

If she didn't learn the lesson you can just teach it to her again! Maybe next time force her to be still for days, unable to talk or do anything besides being there. That will surely teach her!

It would not surprise me to find that she had. After all, I once graced her home some time ago with the most wonderful arrangements of flowers~ [Heh.] It is more than likely that she uprooted what blooms were there and decided to uproot myself for afters.

[So maybe she did break into her apartment, cover it with plants and leave without a word, but details.]

An idea to consider, though I would rather not suffer having to see the sight of her again. Perhaps a live burial instead~ Unable to be seen, unable to be heard.

That's definitively not very nice, even if she didn't like the flowers she didn't have to do that! She could have said so and returned them, right? I want to fill my place with flowers but I want to do it all by myself, but still... That's not nice at all.

That would make her be like a seed, wouldn't it? It sounds a bit bad, I wouldn't like that to happen to me... But if she doesn't learn her lesson and is mean again then I suppose she really deserves it so it's fine.

[Right. Returned them. A little difficult when they were rooted directly to the carpet. Hopefully they ripped the carpet pulling them out or something...]

Why yes, she could have returned them~ Alas, she did. I imagine she instead burned my blooms. Or disposed of them via some other method. Such a waste~

Quite the opposite actually. I would hate to see a flower with a head like hers. Though if she were I seed then I would ensure she was planted amongst salted ground.

[She could have then returned them with the carpet and get a new one.]

That's not a waste, that's cruel!! She killed the flowers! Just because she didn't like them and they could defend themselves? I bet she wouldn't like if that happened to her!

[It's not just killing flowers what distresses him, though, killing in general of things that can't defend themselves or did nothing wrong except being there. It's that unfairness that he doesn't deal well with, if the flowers had been doing something or were able to fight back then it would have been a bit different.]

Uhm... I think I would like a flower no matter what head it had, I like some better than others but all of them deserve to be liked... Why salted ground?
