010th Meatbun ☼ Action / Voice

[This past week, anyone trying to go to the okonomiyaki restaurant would find it closed, courtesy of the Malnosso kidnapping the owner and cook. However, that has changed today, today the restaurant is wide open, with a menu sheet on the door for everyone to see, it's the same menu as always though a lot of dishes seem to have been stroke out.

Inside there's one little monkey that goes for the name of Goku, doing his best to imitate all the things Ukyo does when she opens the restaurant, like cleaning and tidying up. He'll be more than ready to take food orders and will welcome everyone with a wide smile and a loud 'WELCOME TO UCCHAN'S OKONOMIYAKI RESTAURANT!'. Anyone feels daring enough to try this kid's food? Don't worry it's not poisonous, he can cook, but don't expect anything too complicated.]

[Later, in the afternoon, the journals will be greeted with a curious kid.]

Ne... Is Ucchan back yet?

[Rhetoric question, kind of, if she's back she will answer if not... Well, he won't get an answer, obviously. After a while more will be added to the feed.]

Does anyone know where can I get a home tutor? They are like teachers, right? Teach you things on your own, I don't wanna go to school but I wanna learn more things. Ginia-neesan is always writing but I'm still no good at understanding what she writes, I want to get better! Also I want to learn to write better to write to her too, she has a pretty handwriting! Ange-neesan too. And, and I want to write a letter to my friends. But if I do it now I'm sure Konzen will get angry because it's messy. I want to learn more than that too, so they will be impressed when they come here! So... Where can I get one of those home tutors? Please?

Ah! Also, how do you know if your flowers are thirsty? My Cosmos flowers are still babies inside their seeds so I can't look at them to know if they are thirsty or not.... I don't think I could know just by looking at them anyway, but the dirt in the pot seems dry. But I don't want to drown them! When I'm not thirsty I know I can't drink even another drop of water!

Oh, Ucchan's okonomiyaki restaurant is open again. I can take care of it while Ucchan is gone, I can't cook much but I'll do my best to make you delicious okonomiyaki!!

Mmhm, of course I do. I'm sure yours is just as good as her okonomiyaki though! And besides, watching you cook was plenty of fun for me Goku-kun.

[Goku's just going to smile happily and nod, glad to see she finally agrees.]

It was fun to watch? But I didn't do any tricks like Ucchan does.

B-But it was still very entertaining! Watching how determined you looked, coupled with the concentrated expression on your face, it was plenty entertaining!

[Nodding, eating a little more of her order. Ohm nom.]

I don't see anyone else here right now, so why not practice a few tricks? I bet Ucchan would be happy to come back and see you can do your own tricks.

Oh, I'm glad then!

[The kid thinks about the next part. He could practice a few tricks and all but what if they don't work well? It would make a mess and then he would have to clean everything or Ukyo would get mad. Maybe he could practice with things that aren't actual food to not cause so much of a mess?]

But I don't have anything to practice with. And I don't want to use food for it, you don't waste yummy food or play with it like that.

[Indeed at the end of it it's mostly because of the food than anything else.]

Nothing at all? I-I'm honestly not familiar with what sort of tricks the chef performs at an okonomiyaki shop, so you'll have to fill me in on what sort of things they can do.

[Thinking. Hm. Do they just throw the sauce bottles around or something? She can see that happening.]

Ah-- I would order something else so you could practice on that, but if you don't want to waste food... B-But would it be a waste if I ate it no matter what? Eheh... [If she had an idea of what sorts of things are done then maybe she could go find a substitute for the real thing that would be less messy.]

Uhm... Ucchan can throw the okonomiyaki really high and catch it with the spatule, or the dish and serve it. Uhm... She also can make the sauce bottles seem as if they fly or something. And she can make several okonomiyaki at once! Really, really fast.

[Thinking hard! He has seen it so many times, but never cared to count the tricks and all, he assumed he would learn them one day as he learned more about cooking.]

If you eat it it wouldn't be. Do you want another order? I'll make as many as you want if you are still hungry, I know sometimes it takes a while to get filled and be half-hungry is as bad as being hungry!

I don't see any way for you to be able to improve your speed other than through practice... But! I do have an idea for how you can practice tricks using the sauce bottles and spatula. I-In a way.

[Ah, so she was thinking on the right lines after all. Everything she needs for this idea should be at the item shop.]

I'll have another then, please. N-Not too big though, ok? I'm not much of an eater, but it'll be nice for you to have the practice. [Any practice is good practice after all.]

You have an idea? What should I do?

[The kid looks at her expectantly, though first... The order.]

Ah, okay, I'll make you one... Uh... Do you want it the same as the one before?

I-I'll tell you in a moment. After I've eaten I'll need to p-pick up a few things from the item shop though.

[Not telling him what she's got planned just yet. Ooh the suspense.]

Yes please, i-if that's not too much trouble.

Ah! But I want to know! I want to knoooow!

[The suspense is already killing him!! After two whole seconds.]

You'll tell me once you've eaten, right? You promise, right?

[He won't make anything otherwise! Hold your part of the deal, girl!]

[She can't help but giggle a little as his reaction, though she also feels a little bad for making him wait like this.]

I-I'll do more than tell you, I'll show you, o-okay? I promise.

[Ok, there, she promised.]

If you d-don't think that I'll show you what I have planned, th-then I'll go get what I need right away rather than keeping you waiting. I-It was going to be a surprise s-sort of, eheh... Though it's nothing too special.

[Goku pauses to think about this. On one hand he wants to know already, on the other hand... She's a customer and she made an order, what would Ukyo do in those circumstances?]

No, stay here! Customers come first before anything else! Once you are satisfied you can show me, okay?

[And he starts preparing her order.]

Of course, I-I said that I would promise to show you, didn't I?

[Smiling at him as he starts working again.]

Yeah! And I know that Nodoka-neesan fulfills her promises!

[So far she has done so at least. The kid works diligently, still looking all concentrated in his work until he's done and serves her an okonomiyaki like the one before, simply visibly smaller.]

[Bowing a little in her seat to say thank you and then tucking in again. Of course as it's smaller it doesn't take long at all to finish.]

Thank you for the meal! I think y-you were a little faster that time, Goku-kun. See, you're already picking up speed.

[Even if it was smaller and probably took less time to finish as a result. Anyway, standing now to go find the things she needs.]

Like I promised, I-I'll go get what I need right away and show you what I have planned. I w-won't be long! You can wait here if you like, or come with me.

You think so? Yay!! It's easier to make them once I've done one first, didn't have to think what I had to add.

[No, the size didn't matter in how fast was it made, it was all thanks to his growing skill! The kid thinks for a moment regarding going with her or not but shakes his head.]

I want to go but I can't leave the restaurant alone. I'll wait here, ok? Sorry.

[Standing now and moving over towards the exit, though waving before she leaves.]

[And in any other circumstances he would have gone, but today he's feeling responsible. Anyway he waves her goodbye and goes to clean up a bit and wait.

Two minutes later and YOU'RE TAKING TOO LONG.]

[She's going as fast as she can ok?! Just for that she ends up being five minutes. Hah.

After those five minutes pass, Nodoka pokes her head back into the shop and smiles.]

S-Sorry if I took too long! Could you come outside for a moment? Y-You'll have to leave the shop for a little, but we can't really do what I have planned inside. And don't worry, w-we'll stay close by.

[FIVE MINUTES IS AN ETERNITY, HOW IS HE SUPPOSED TO WAIT THAT LOOONG.

But he survives it. When she pokes her head back in she will find that the kid was staring intently at said door for a while, waiting for her to come in. And the kid jumps and smiles when she appears, yep.]

Welcome back!!

[Goku only pauses for a second before he gets out of the counter and goes to join her outside. This time with no complains, but they better stay close by!]

I'll have to go back quickly if a client comes in, okay?

[BE A MAN. GRIT YOUR TEETH AND BEAR IT.

She blinks a little when she notices his eyes staring right back in her direction when she returns.]

Of course, I-I would very guilty if you lost business on a-account of me.

[Once they're both outside, Nodoka hands Goku one of these (http://www.rubbermaid.com/Assets/images/Product/7F82-20oz-large.jpg). Just a normal water bottle filled up with water.]

This should be similar to the sauce bottles you use, m-maybe. You can throw it around a-and try some tricks with it, but you won't d-damage anything or make a mess as we're outside.

[She hopes this is a good idea. It seemed like it was when she first thought of it.]

[Goku grabs the bottle and eyes it carefully, humming as he inspects it and looks at it all seriously and concentrated. He starts to make it bounce on his hand, increasing the strength little by little before he makes it bounce from one hand to the other, catching and throwing it.]

This is great Nodoka-neesan! I can practice a lot with this without making a mess or wasting anything!!

I'm glad you like it! A sports bottle a-and the sauce bottles seemed a little similar, so I thought I'd pick one up to see if i-it would work for something like this.

[Girl, why did you do that with the water, now he got ideas. Squeezing the bottle to make the water spurt out and see how far or high it gets isn't what he was supposed to do with it.]

Ah, d-don't use too much now. You'll have to go fill it up soon a-and the difference in weight might effect your practicing.
