My name's Son Goku, pleased to meet ya! I take care of the okonomiyaki restaurant near the fountain, if you haven't ever had any you should come and give it a try, I promise it's really tasty and good! Ucchan's Okonomiyaki restaurant always has the best okonomiyaki in the village.

[Let's ignore the fact that it's the only place with okonomiyaki in the menu.]

Ah, I also wanted to ask if there are any home tutors or something available. [There's a bit of a long pause before he resumes.] Long time ago I asked for help because I wanted to keep learning and getting better at writing and reading and maths and other things, but... Most of the people who offered to help and helped me have been sent back to their worlds. I want to learn more, niisan says I'm getting better with my handwriting but I know it's still messy and there are still many words I don't know how to write well and many difficult words to read in books.

But I don't wanna go to the school. So no school, but I want help to learn more, pretty please! I can make delicious okonomiyaki for you in exchange!

[At early evening, Goku closes the restaurant, deciding that he has worked enough for the day. After that the kid will be seen around playing by himself despite the cold, making orange paper airplanes and throwing them around before chasing after them. At least until droids appear and attack the kid, knocking him out before he can do much more besides scream and dragging him away.]

I heard that in school there's a lot of people and we have to sit through a lot of time with a teacher teaching us all something. And that classes are scheduled. I don't like having to sit for a long time unable to move even a little bit! And I don't always want to learn the same things, I want to learn everything but sometimes I don't want to do maths and sometimes I prefer to the them than to read. And if there's a lot of people I can't ask as much as I want because it could bore others. And there are things I don't want to learn about yet so.

[Pause.]

'Sides, if I'm with other kids of my age or so I would prefer to play with them, not to study.

Asking questions in class is important, even if you do have a lot. You may find that someone else has similar questions, and you could even work together to find solutions. Although if you've never attended yourself, you could always try it out as a trial, when we do open up, and we could work on finding someone to tutor you. I know class structure doesn't work well for everyone, especially if they didn't grow up being used to that sort of thing. I wish I did have more time to instruct individually, myself.

As for the last part, school is a good way to meet new friends your age, and then finding time during recess or afterwards to play if you like.

But I can meet new friends just as fine without going to school, and from what I've been told normally people of my age would be very small. Do people send kids to school even though they are so tiny?

Well, you haven't exactly told me how old you are, so I can't answer that question for you. Most students attend at a young age to get a start on their lives.

[ Natsuno is there when Goku closes the restaurant, actually - he decided to spend the end of the afternoon bumming around there, not like he has much better to do. (Not because Goku appreciates the company or anything, geez, not at all!!)

He casually sticks his hands into the pockets of his long coat as he stares at the younger boy outside the restaurant. ]

So, you feel like going home? [ He's mostly asking since.. well, it isn't too strange for Goku to want to go out and play a bit more instead of heading right back, right? Not like Natsuno would stop him from doing that, either way. ]

[Goku actually considers it a bit. The weather is still cold but... By now the kid already knows that during autumn it may be difficult to find good weather to go out and play. The cold isn't too bad yet and it's not raining, neither looks as if it's going to rain soon.]

I would like to go and play around a bit before going home. Is that okay?

.. Yeah, I guess. [ he shrugs - obviously just okay with it, Natsuno's not too strict either way, as long as the kid's happy.. ]

Hey there! I think I can help you out with that tutor thing. 'Least with reading and writing. I can do basic maths too, but I don't really care for more complicated stuff. You interested?

You can? Really? That's great! I know some basic maths too but if you only want to help me with reading and writing that's fine. I can try to find someone else for maths and such.

Well, let's see what we can work out. I'm just more confident with those two since I'm aspiring to write my own book. And can't do that without knowing how to read and write, na?

It's like... You know pancakes? It's like one, but it's not just a dessert and it has many ingredients on it and you eat it almost like a pizza? But it's smaller. And you can have it made with whatever ingredients you want!

O-ko-no-mi-ya-ki? [Bucky repeats it slowly too, trying to learn the word.] Is that right?

That sounds pretty interesting, I'll stop by and try one. No one in my apartment can really do much cooking.

I've heard about school. You have to sit the whole time for a looong time in the same place listening to the teacher with many other kids, whether you want to learn about that or not! I don't like that at all.

Who is your tutor? Does she teach you a lot?

Yeah, when you say it all out loud like that school really does sound like a boring place. And trying to study after school is over for the day is really hard too.

Azusa, she's an idol back home but she's taught me lots of things here. [He... Doesn't know she's gone home yet.] Things like what other worlds have and do differently to mine.
