[So guess which kid woke up veeeery early in the morning due nature's call... Only to freak out about the recent experiment. Or rather than freak out, get terrified by it. Guess who gets out of Ukyo's apartment as fast and silently as possible -and for a monkey that's easy- to run away to the forest.

Later in the day, much later, in the early afternoon, after most of the village has gotten out of their "wtf" and such reactions... People flipping pages in the journals may come across an entry with someone doodling in there. They are pretty simple drawings, it's not as if Goku has his color pencils with him or whatever.

There's a girl, with long hair and a bow in the head, she holds what could be from a paint brush to a cooking tool. In fact for some it may be recognizable if they have visited a certain okonomiyaki stall. Her other hand holds the hand of a child, with messy hair and what seems like a hairband or a crown on his head, who looks very, very, happy. And he is holding the hand of a boy, who also has a hairband on his shorter hair and who has lots of interrogations above his head as if he's not sure where he is. On the girl's other side there's another man, older and taller and accompanied by a black dog. The drawing also has a happy sun and happy clouds and happy trees and everyone looks happy there.

There's a record accompanying this piece of art, but it has nothing of interest unless you like to listen to a child crying and sobbing. At any rate, the beautiful drawing is soon destroyed by lots of lines striking it almost angrily. At this point there's a voice being recorded but it sounds far, as if not talking to the journal.]

You guys are lucky... Whenever you get out of there you will have a mom and a dad... I don't have those...

I had them but it was a lie... I also had a grandad...

[Moar drawings, this time it's different though yet a bit similar, there are three "adults" but they are different from before, they are all boys, one has what one could assume is light hair and dresses like a girl and has a dot in the forehead. Another has short dark hair and seems to be smoking -or throwing smoke from his mouth- and holds what is a bottle that has "wine" scribbled on it messily because he almost ran out of space on the bottle. There's another one, with short hair and a monocle and with a kind of dragon or bird on his shoulder. The kid from before he here too, the only one unchanged and still looking happy. Everyone looks happy here.

It gets covered in strikes soon enough as well.]

I want my family back... Both of them.

[And that's all there's to see and hear. Yeah, here's one of the people who's taking this change sadly.]

What?! No it's not wrong!

[Now sleeping with Ryoga while she's engaged to Ranma? That probably falls squarely under wrong. But Ukyo's not about to go into any of that with a kid.]

I liked teaching you too. Why don't you come by the shop and we can talk?

[If he does, he'll find she's got a sign on the front door saying "closed for family emergency".]

But everyone says it was fake, it was an experiment. A lie. Lies are wrong, aren't they?

I don't like it being one though.

[He hums, she liked teaching him too. And he likes to learn. It was fun, it was nice and he really liked it. He still wants to learn it all. And he liked making okonomiyaki just as much as he likes eating it, and that's a lot.

But he's hidden, if he goes there he won't be hiding anymore... But she doesn't sound angry which is part of why he ran away. He was afraid of everyone being angry with him, people in general were upset after all, weren't they?]

... I'll go.

What those people did to us was wrong, but you didn't do anything. Okay? So you just come on over and I'll take care of ya.

[True to her word, Ukyo will be waiting for him with open arms and a big smile. Although he might be surprised to see how she's dressed. Ukyo's feeling not so female after all that and has reverted to her safe and standard boy's clothing, complete with having her chest bound down. She'd absolutely pass for a pretty-ish boy if you didn't know otherwise.]

I don't really get why was it wrong to give us families... I'm going.

[It was nice after all. At leas he liked it a lot and all... Then again he has never had a family like that, sure there's Konzen and the others but it's not exactly the same... And they weren't a family either, right?

It'll take time but eventually there will be a little boy staring at the sign in the door blankly before he dares to open the door and peek in shyly. Fortunately, Goku couldn't care less about how one dresses or looks, he only focuses on the face, which is why he quickly accepted Hakkai and didn't freak out.]

... Hi...

[Ukyo spends that time thinking about what he said and... she sort of agrees with the child. In fact, she's realizing she probably owes Ryoga an apology for beating him up this morning.

But Goku's arrival is met with a good firm hug from her. She may not be his mother, but she can be a big sister, no problem.]

Hey there. Glad you came.

You know, I thought about what you said. It wasn't wrong of them to give us families. It was wrong to take them away from us. It's not very nice of them. So! We'll just have to beat them at their own game and make our own families. What do you think?

[The hug actually surprises him, but you won't see him complaining. Instead he hugs her back, clinging to her like he did at the start of the experiment and he believed he was her son and that had gotten lost somehow. it's okay if she's not his mom, he doesn't really know what's a mom anyway, a big sis would feel the same to him as he is now.

He's busy clinging and hugging her while she speaks, her question earns a stare that's a mix of confusion and surprise.]

Make our own families? Can we do that on our own? Really?!

Well sure we can! [Ukyo giggles a little and gives the kid another hug.] You can even call me Ucchan like my fiance does.

[She glances around like she's about to bestow a big secret, and in a way she is, because she lowers her voice too.]

You know, I started learning martial arts cooking from my father when I was really young. I could teach you, and then we could keep it in the family. Whaddaya say?

[Ucchan is cute! The kid's face lights up as she speaks and when she reveals the big secret Goku beams at her.]

I want that! I want to learn from Ucchan! And help with making okonomiyaki too! I promise I won't eat it all myself, really!

Then it's a deal! Welcome to the family business!

Hey, sugar, you got anyone that's taking care of you?

Yay!! I'll work hard!

[You have no idea how happy the child is now, Ukyo. You're in to have a bundle of enthusiasm showing up at the store everyday to help you now.

The question makes him remember Hakkai and... His face drops to an insecure expression.]

I lived with Hakkai... He's a friend from the place I was before I arrived to Luceti but I think he's angry with me now, because I was bad and did something wrong.

[He didn't yell or anything but... He obviously wasn't happy with him and Goku had felt as if he was extremely angry in fact.]

What'd ya do?

[It sorta hurts to see the poor kid hurting like that so Ukyo gives him another hug.]

I abandoned you... I think he got angry because of that. It was very bad of me to do it, we promised to never abandon anyone.

[He returns the hug, though a bit hesitantly, his mind is more worried now with Hakkai being angry with him after all.]

I'm really sorry. I was scared.

It's okay, sugar. I was scared too. I clobbered Ryoga.

[That... Makes the kid flinch.]

... If I had stayed... You would have clobbered me too?

What?! No!

No! That was... something else. No, never you.

[Blinking, he doesn't understand it.]

Did Ryoga do something bad?

It's complicated.

And I was really embarrassed.

You don't need to be embarrassed, you were a great mama!
